As I promised I have a few pics of the new and improved Masterpiece's with Reprolabels. To make them more accurate I placed the rub sign in the same spot as my original's. You'll do a double take and say "wait, those can not be masterpiece transformers!" I promise you these are not G1 1984 crack! I amazed myself of how identical they are to one another though.
I want to let all my followers out there know that I now own the rights to Transformaniac.net and Transformaniac.com. Whatever one you type in will now bring you to my website.
I gotta give it to Godaddy, they alerted me immediately when then domain name was coming up for auction. I jumped on that faster than wheelie can talk! Also, with the great news I decided to change up the site a bit. My Japanese cheerleaders with GT-R Optimus and Saber are now the cover page. I do own Megatron but didn't make it into the photo....just yet. With my new camera, I CAN NOT wait to get some hi-res pics up!
Below are the real cars that are inspired by the alternity line that Takara produces.
Oh masterpiece transformers have you changed my life entirely! I do and will own every one EVER made until the day I'm buried with them. No joke. Since 2005 I've been collecting these massive, perfect articulated, G1 replicas. I do not own MP-01, he was released without his trailer. I'm so glad that I waited because 3 years later he came with his cab. I started with MP-02, Ultra Magnus. I remember when I took this guy out of his box, weighed a ton! Talk about loving plastic crack! I was nearly in tears...a dream come true of something that I've owned for 20 years has been tripled in size and weight! Now we are coming up on getting the real Ultra Magnus that comes with his trailer and attaches to him like the G1 version.
Since that day MP-02 thru MP-19 are spread out in "The Vault" posed, tall, and ultimately amazing, unlike their G1 companions. Of course MP-20, 21, and 22 are on pre-order. Wheeljack, Bumblebee with spike in his exosuit, and Ultra Magnus.
Now that I've taken this completely off topic, let's get back to what this post is meant for.
REPROLABELS.COM is the BEST place to get stickers for your old or new transformers.
I've decided that my masterpieces needed an uplift. They just weren't G1 accurate enough to satisfy my needs. This is years later in case you've wondered. I've accepted them for who they are and let them be until Sideswipe, Prowl, and Bluestreak came into the mix. Incredible! Pictures definitely do justice to them. I highly recommended anybody that wants to give their masterpieces an uplift, do buy the stickers. To make them even more accurate to my collection. I bought the rub signs that they also sell. Couldn't tell the difference if you tried....Pictures up very very soon.
I've been searching my house for weeks and weeks to take pics of my little plastic obsession. Now that I have a baby in my life, she has taken up the entire house. It's unreal how a 10lb precious little mini-me can take up and need so much space. Especially, since I'm living in a decent amount of square footage! The dark non-finished basement is always a place to go. It doesn't sound as bad as I just described it but it's no place you want to be for a long period of time. Old table from the dining room (we used to actually eat at a table) has become my setting up point for taking pics. We've recently acquired a new Nikon SLR camera for our little daughter (Evil laugh). Thank you little miss Char!! I'm still learning and messing around with the setting. Better backgrounds will have to be the next step in this voyage of plastic picture taking. Right now lets just concentrate on the high-res and angle shooting.
Me? I'm a Transformaniac through and through. I've been collecting for over 20 years and my collection is starting to outgrow "The Vault"! I collect, maintain and refurbish my Transformers and I am always looking for new (and old) ones to add to my 1000+ plus collection. Feel free to check out my collection, as it's ever-growing and I'll be updating my blog with new Transformers as soon as I get them.
