Over the past few months the hype has been getting more and more as we see clearer images of the up coming masterpieces. Yesterday we got our real taste of what exactly we are looking at once these guys show up at our door steps. I'm really pumped about Bumblebee. I usual don't care for him since he flows the market with EVERY line of transformers that comes out. For once, the masterpiece line he wasn't the 1st 3 of them to be made. It's made it that much more exciting to actually want him on my shelf! You know of course he is G1 accurate (cartoon style) and that a lone is VERY enticing! It'll be my first spike figure in my collection. I can't wait! We also have images of Wheeljack. Absolutely beautiful mold. Ultra Magnus just keeps getting better with every pic that comes out. I'm dying to see the color scheme on him.
Lastly, I have a weird fetish for pens. Something about their style. It's weird I know but I don't buy your ordinary pens. Nor do I buy the high end ones. I stay right in between. So hear that a pen Optimus is in the works, my eyes popped! Excitement flowing through my blood these days is just uncontrol-able! A.O.E. (Movie, not so much the toy line, even through I own wave 1 already) , Masterpieces, Generations, and PENS!!
Gold is something that has been around arguability for over 5,000 years. We all love it, especially woman! In the 21st century gold's value has sky-rocked to an insane price. People sold all their gold to get the cash for it. These days gold isn't as popular as platinum or even white gold. But when seen in collectibles, it's a whole new experience. It adds this high end looking piece of art. This is the case with Year of the Horse Optimus Prime. My favorite Masterpiece to date! The perfect amount of gold in the areas that really count and make him stand out significantly. I had no choice but to get him. I stared at him for weeks and weeks, looking at the price. He's REALLY pricey! Finally, I found a match price online and took it to Toys R Us and got more than $50 off. He just needed to be part of my masterpiece collection. I'm also excited that I now have an Optimus that fits well with the other recently purchased boys (Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Red Alert, etc.) I have the original MP-04 (with trailer) and he's just too massive to fit in!
New pics of Bumblebee, Optimus, Hound, Lockdown, Strafe, and Galvatron. The end of the trailer is just unbelievable! I hope that scene is at least a minute long!! You can view the new trailer by clicking here. I screen shot my favorite parts of the trailer. Enjoy!
A new TV spot came up yesterday featuring Imagine Dragons. Song actually sounds pretty good. The video can be found by clicking here. We get our first look at Hound and fire breathing Grimlock!! A new imagine with Optimus riding Grimlock through the city?? I'm getting pumped for this movie.
I found Grimlock!!!!
Picture this, it's Saturday morning at Target. Hundred of scrubs going in to get their mothers a card or a gift. (I was smart and did it a few weeks ahead) My intention was to get household stuff, in and out! Of course, on my travels you HAVE to stop by and see what's on the shelves. Yes, even though I've been upset with Target I still stop by for a peek. How can I not? I did a drive by until in the corner of my eye, with a kid blocking half my view I spotting the A.O.E. boxes and quickly grabbed them both!!
I finished my run and got to the register. Kid behind the counter was having trouble ringing them up. HA some idea stock room person must have put them out by mistake because they didn't ring up! I was NOT leaving the store until these guys made it to my car. Manger comes in, blah, blah, blah, we can't find the pricing. I told her I'm not leaving until I've paid for crack. 10 mins later after trying to figure out how and what price to put in I happily walked away with Grimlock and Optimus. Phew, I thought that I was going to have to give them up because some idiot put them out a week earlier than they were supposed to be! Well, here he is...I'll get better pics of him later but for now to show up, this is the best I can give ya!
Apparently Godzilla is taking over the section where the transformers were. You can baaaaaaarely see them. This is kind of upsetting because I'm still chasing down the generations line! I've been going to this Toys R Us every other day to find Generations Rhinox and Doubledealer. Luckily, for them I found Doubledealer! Target has been in my travels too but it looks like little 5 year olds have pilfered through the rubbish already. When I say rubbish, I completely mean that! They have absolutely sucked with their inventory for transformers. Not a single Generations toy has been on their shelves for months. Beast hunters, beast hunters and MORE beast hunters! Go away already!! Walmart is out of my way. The parking lot is out of control and the people...well you know...Can't get in and you get stuck getting out.
This is what I'm left with to stare at for the next 12 days if not sooner...May 17th, you are too far away from me
Everyday, you set yourself a schedule of what project you're doing. It's in your head first thing in the morning, during work, and on your way home and once you walk through the door it all vanishes in our clean beautiful atmosphere (I"m kidding)...As a husband, and parent you have duties that need to be done first before play time can begin. To me it's always been Pete time before anything thing or anybody else. Well.....my wife and daughter changed that really quick.
So I've got to the point where they are at least transformed into their alternate modes. I have all but Movie Starscream transformed. MP-09 Rodimus/Hot Rod is VERY complicated! I think it took me about 40 mins to transform into Hot Rod ONLY! Now a little bit has to do with my OCD of every piece has to fit snug and tight. He isn't your normal click and snap transformer. His arms don't really have a spot that they sit in so when your trying to put them into place, the exhausts don't align up with the exhausts on his legs. It's really frustrating!! Great masterpiece! I'd say he's one of the the best out there but he's tough! Today, I've said I'm going home and taking pics of a few more MP's. Let's see what happens....
Me? I'm a Transformaniac through and through. I've been collecting for over 20 years and my collection is starting to outgrow "The Vault"! I collect, maintain and refurbish my Transformers and I am always looking for new (and old) ones to add to my 900+ plus collection. Feel free to check out my collection, as it's ever-growing and I'll be updating my blog with new Transformers as soon as I get them.
