Gold is something that has been around arguability for over 5,000 years. We all love it, especially woman! In the 21st century gold's value has sky-rocked to an insane price. People sold all their gold to get the cash for it. These days gold isn't as popular as platinum or even white gold. But when seen in collectibles, it's a whole new experience. It adds this high end looking piece of art. This is the case with Year of the Horse Optimus Prime. My favorite Masterpiece to date! The perfect amount of gold in the areas that really count and make him stand out significantly. I had no choice but to get him. I stared at him for weeks and weeks, looking at the price. He's REALLY pricey! Finally, I found a match price online and took it to Toys R Us and got more than $50 off. He just needed to be part of my masterpiece collection. I'm also excited that I now have an Optimus that fits well with the other recently purchased boys (Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Red Alert, etc.) I have the original MP-04 (with trailer) and he's just too massive to fit in!
